Great deal!! For those who have ordered, can you provide us with any additional info about shipping costs? And will these batteries work with any NiMH charger? I have a Rayovac 4-hr charger I got a while back with 4 1800mAh Rayovac batteries. Will it charge these Duracells as well?

Shipping for 127 batts and a $5.00 15/30w soldering iron was $8.63 from MCM to Florida.

Newark has several geographical locations, but, is owned by the same corporation as MCM. I suspect shipping charges are about the same. Weight was 9lbs for the batts and iron. YMMV.

MCM has a $5 handling charge for orders under $25 total. I believe Newark has a similar policy based on Netma's post above. Also, cheaper to get 54 batts than 49 due to the price drop at that range. Actually, cheaper overall to get 52 vs 40 batts due to the $5 handling on orders < 25.

39*.625 = $24.38 + $5(handling) = $29.38 +S&H
vs 52*.563 = $29.38 +S&H

Next price change makes it cheaper to get 100 vs 91..99. ~($50.80+S&H)

I was so disappointed to find dynacharge even take less pictures than those panasonic 1300mAH.

So I guess such batteries are some dumping stuff. (that's the reason they only provide 7 days warranty) ...I will keep away.

Thanks for your report. I have the same feeling and doubt.

Those dynacharges are not real 1800mah. It may like that "famous" Euro Band (marked 1500mah as 1800mah). the actually capacity should be around 1400mah.

by the way, i don't like that bullshit $5 handling fee and $7.27 shipping. 7 day warranty sucks

anyone has an analynizer? please post your testing results here!!!

I purchased a bunch of AA and few AAA from MCM. So far I have tested 8 AA and all of AAA. They charge fine in my Rayovac PS4 (highly recommended charger) and last for a *long* time. At least it seemed longer than the 1600 Panasonic that I have. I have also charged them in cheapo Rayovac PS3 charger (buy this only if you get it cheap, I got it for $5 at OfficeMax clearance and you are NOT willing to spring for $30.00 for PS4). By the way, PS4 pumps 1740mA in each AA cell and they get only slightly warm at the end of the cycle before the charger shuts off. You should charge/discharge (i.e. use them)/charge cycle few (3-4) times to get the best out of them.

Those batteries were done in a group purchase and total of close to 400 were distributed to various people. I have NOT heard a single complaint so far. We paid $0.79 for each AA. Considering the Newark's price, we were robbed Just kidding, those were excellent deal at $0.79 and even better at $0.50

How come they offer only 7 days warranty? The day you receive them is the ending time of warranty. is it like a joke? I just don't like to play game with them.

I got mine today. They didn't say how much shipping was at the time of order. It was like $7.50 for 12 batteries to Michigan. They were not Duracell they were DynaCharge brand. Still is pretty cheap any way you look though.

ummm does anyone know what the voltage is on these things when fully charged? I can't seem to get much information at all regarding this. The voltage is very important to me since I have many devices that *need* 1.5V

Goto wallmart and either buy the $10 Rayovac charger or spring $30 for the 4 hour buffer charger. Personnally, with so many batteries I don't see why the $10 wouldn't suffice. BTW, I have the $10 one and I paid $1/battery at wallmart as well. So this is nice and hot! Too bad they were still all out as of today.

I am pretty sure you will find the voltage on nimh cells to be 1.2 volts, I have seen a few advertised at 1.25 volts. I use these in most of my high drain stuff and they work well. Nimh maybe not quite as good as a fresh alkaline for the first 30 min, after that in high drain situations such as digital cameras they will out last alkaline batterys.

No. You have to use a NiMH charger for NiMH batteries. Some of those chargers will also charge Ni-Cd batteries (e.g., Rayovac PS4).

Got Mine Yesterday. Shipping and Handling was over $8.00 to NC aside from taxes. Overall a pretty good deal. The batteries were indeed Dynacharge ( duracell ) batteries.

Fair Deal.

Thanks for the post jclose.

I received mine as well. I'm assuming they come 'uncharged'. So anyway I popped in 6 of them into my old Rayovac Charger, and it's been about 6 hours, yet the light is still on which means they are still charging. Should it take this long? I remember my old Rayovac rechargeable alkalines taking only 2-4 hours (although I'm sure they are smaller capacity). I'm getting a little worried b/c they are really hot, and they are starting to smell a little. The charger SHOULD work, as it states on the back that Nickel Metal Hydride batteries are compatible. You guys think it should be okay?

Doesn't sound good to me. If the charger is making them get that hot and smell.... generally it means it is charging them too quickly.
That or the charger just is not made to charge these batteries. I would take them out... let them cool, and try again.

ALSO.... check the charger to be sure that there is not a "switch" that you need to flip to charge different battery types.

Just recieved my order of 50 AA Dynacharge Duracells from UPS.. Total was $28.15 + $11.25 for shipping via UPS Ground(3.70lbs) = $39.40.. Heck of a deal for 1800ma AA's. Newark CSR said they will get more on Feb 10, 2003..
