Once bitten, twice shy? If you can bridge those two little tiny dots with the conductive ink, it really is a more permanent solution. I have heard of some people using just the ink, don't know how they got it out (don't own one of the pens myself) and dipped a needle tip into it and ran the ink across. I have also just seen a kinda cool idea with the ink. Put the ink on heavy enough between the contacts that you know it was bridged, The bridge was cut with a laser, so there is a tiny little hole there. After you put the ink on, then take a slightly dampened with acetone cotton ball and wipe very gently in the direction of the bridges and wipe the whole surface clean, but don't push so you don't clean out the laser cut that is still full of conductive ink.
I am kinda anal about somethings. If I was going to unlock my bridges with a conductive pen or defogger paint, then I would most likely spend the time to do something like this. I would get really good quality clear tape and tape over the bridges. Then I would get me a magnifying glass and a really sharp exacto knife and cut out a rectangular template over each bridge, fill it with conductive ink and let it dry, then I would pull the tape off and walla perfect bridges done the first time.
