<< I am looking for an inexpensive CPU+MoBo. I picked Duron and searched Pricewatch. Many were Duron+k7s5a. Why do people buy this combo? Is it because most Durons run well in 133 fsb without multiplier adjustment? If I had a Duron 800, would it run in k7s5a at 133 MHz without lowering multiplier? Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. >>
Well, there is no Gaurantee........personally i think the Duron 800 will have troubles running at 1050MHz.......your better off with a Duron 750 running on a 133MHz FSB to get 1GHz..........believe me, i know from personal experience.........Even though its not always the case, you MIGHT get 1050 with the Duron 800......but you have a better chance of hittign 1GHz with a 750 than you do of 1050MHz with an 800, and this is all because you dont want to chaneg the Multiplier, remember that.. =)
Well good luck......hope your succesful with whatever you choose...
