Alright, I got a 1ghz @ 1.7volts Athlon with an Abit KT133a, 384megs of Micron, GeForce2 GTS 32meg, Real Magic DVD Decoder with a Toshiba 6x DVD player. Using Windows Me
I've installed the USB Filter from VIA, along with 4 in 1 drivers 4.31
DMA is turns on, my HDs are on the RAIIDD controller, the DVD and Burner is on the built in DMA/100 channels.
Now the problem is, when I use the DVD Decoder + Toshiba DVD drive to watch DVDs, the system performance goes straight to hell. I notice my USB mouse movement stuttering, and other simple activities like writing this post as we speak (watching Clerks on DVD, "my girlfriend sucks 37 d-cks!", "in a row?"are slow to respond. Now c'mon, a DVD with DMA on + Realmagic isn't suppose to give a 1ghz any trouble. DVD playback is smooth of course.
Back on my Cel550+Abit BE6 2.0 (everything else stayed the same), I never had this problem, hell I can play CS rather smoothly without a stutter.
Open to suggestions besides formatting the computer.
