Ok, heres the problem.
I have a TDK 840g dvd+r burner with the latest firmware (1.06). I burn AVI files as data onto Ritek DVD-R discs and it burns fine at 4x. When i try to read the disc using this burner, it cannot read the avi file, it will close down, skip the file, or play it for a couple of seconds and just stop doing anything.
i know that the dvd is burned fine because i have tried sticking the burned dvd disc into a laptop's dvd-rom and it plays the AVI file perfectly.
someone help me please!
i have tried changing jumper settings on it, changing IDE1 to IDE 2, burning at different speeds, using a different ide cable, rolling back firmware, some other things i cant even remember.
