Shouldnt I jsut have to put the move in and hit play?
I just purchased a DVD player, it came with PowerDVD. When I put the movie in it pulls up PowerDVD then gives me an error..."no disc in drive" What is going on?
FOund the settings. Nothing is selected and It wont allow me to select anything. I was able to use WMP to playthe dvd....wonder if PowerDVD needs to be reinstalled
I used an old version of powerDVD 6 2.55 it wouldn't play DVDs in winXP and it also damaged mediaplayers ability to play DVDs, but then I upgraded to powerDVD 4 and all was fine again.
Try to uninstall powerDVD and use mediaplayer to view the DVD.
Install it then install the updated from their website. When you start power dvd. Go to configuration general settings. Make sure the default drive is your dvd. To the left of the play controls is an envelope. Click it and make sure your drive is selected as the source.
I'm using powerdvd with a lite-on drive.
I have the same problem on my HTPC. If I dont have a disc in the drive at bootup I get that error "no disc in drive". Put one in and restart the computer, works for me
