OK, I have a Toshiba SD-M1402 DVD-ROM drive set as a slave on my secondary IDE channel. My problem is, the other day when I restarted my computer, when the BIOS lists the drives on each IDE channel, the name for the DVD-ROM was jumbled or corrupted or something. The computer will start up, but Windows XP Pro won't recognize it. Even worse, while this drive is connected I can't burn CD's in Nero (only happens when the DVD isn't working). Any ideas??? Is my drive just broken??? Thanks for any help you may be able to give!
