UPDATE:
OK, to sum up my problem: I recorded video/audio from a camcorder. It only plays on one side of audio. The fix reccomended below does in fact play the audio out of both speakers, but I can't output it and save in that format.
After demuxing with Tmpeg, the resulting audio stream is in mp2, and I can't get that to open in any other audio editor.
Any ideas?
**END UPDATE
Ok, got about two hours of video I'm getting off a camcorder to convert into a DVD for my friend. (Wedding.)
Well, when I thought I was almost done getting all the video's, I realized that only the right side got recorded on audio. I'm guessing that's mono vs. stereo. Well, I don't know how to do that, or how to change it.
So, I'm super pissed off right now. Gotta redo all these video's. Or do I? Is there someway to have the sound split up? I am using the Winfast Recording software, and don't see any thing to change there for the way audio is recorded.
I burned a test DVD, and the sound still only comes out of one speaker. What do I change to get it on both sides? Am I missing something here? This is coming out of a camcorder, and I have one stereo wire going from it into my Leadtek Winfast card. And the video is being recorded in via s-video.
Also, does anyone have any small freeware app that will cut/edit mpeg2 files? All I need to do is cut out certain parts. I'm well aware that mpeg's aren't the greatest for editing, and that avi is the best for this.
Thank You in advance.
(BTW, yes, I have read the dvdrhelp forums/tutorials/articles.)
