The original movie was probably less then 4gb. If the DVD already will fit on one DVDR, then DVD2one will not touch it.

If u have a movie smaller than 4.7 GIg then why the heck would u wanna touch DVD2ONE?????? just rip the damn whole DVD.. everyfile in the folder and burn it to ur blank DVD and u get 100% of the original..

And for some of you who said that this program doesn't loose the quality or some who can't tell if they do... try take Lord of The Ring and do it with DVD2ONE then watch it on the TV ... look closely.. if u still can't tell.. put inthe original again and you will see.. it reduce the quality by alot if the movie is liek 3 hours.. if you have a movie with 5GIG or so.. then there will be no noticable difference in quality.

Did you do DVD2SVCD into native DVD rez or to SVCD rez?

Anyone know anything about the ability to copy a DVD that is the result of burning the DVD2ONE files? Do yo uhave to go through the process of ripping and burning or can you just copy? I guess it wouldn't be a big deal to rip before copying.

To compliment dvd2one, a program called "makeiteasy" was just posted on Doom9. It allows complete backups using dvd2one, to include menus and extra's. It is a first release, but initial response is positive.

Well, I tried this software on two 'PAL' DVD's and the results are quite disappointing. Watching these movies on my 17" PC Monitor is kind of OK but compression artifacts are so visible on my 36" TV (using a standalone DVD player).

Does anyone have similar experience?:|

how large were the movies originally?

6.7GB (2 hours)

Can I ask someone a favor? I'm trying to backup my copy of Monsters Inc. as it's already been scratched up terribly by my friends. When I rip the disk, I can't successfully copy the VIDEO_TS.VOB file. Any chance I could get someone to send it to me? It's only 100kilobytes.

Thanks

Think it would be easier to rent it, wouldn't you agree? then get the file you need.

re: DVD2one, it actually works good (supriced) but for movies over 2 1/2hrs, you start noticing some small pixels.. but does beat CCE+MAESTRO if you are in a hurry.

Yah it would be easy, but I figured that someone might be nice enough to send a damn 100k file so I didn't have to spend $4. It's not like I'm asking for the damn movie, just the table of contents file.

got a question for everyone using this progam that are ripping with DVDdecyripter in file mode, ok so you rip in file mode as if your gonna just ripp out the credits etc. then you point DVD2one to the directory then you just let it run after asighning new destination, now I know the folder has to be labled VIDEO_TS, but do you have to run these newly transcoded vobs Ifo etc.. through IFO edit? So the big question is do you have to use IFO edit? because I did on the first one and it ended up working but it defaulted to start from the second chapter and this was from a decrypted ISO attached to daemon tools! Kinda annoying.
