DVDShrink 3.1.6 released Feb 23rd..DVD backup freeware

Compressing LOTR with an older version of DVDshrink and one of the free writing programs was unlivable. Some scenes were perfect but in the scenes where it is dark in the background but kinda light in the foreground when they would move you could see like macrosquares behind them. I was pissed.

one difference between this and instantcopy is that i can't seem to be able to remove extras. the best i can do is set it to still image which still can take up quite a bit of space. when i right click an extra, i see the delte option is grayed out. can anybody help?

If you reauthor you can include ONLY those things you want and nothing more.

Do you guys think reliability of dvd burning is improved by going 2x instead of 4x burn on my Pioneer 4x burner?...........

usually no..but some settops might like a slower burn(usually older and even some are media picky if play at all..)...as always..ymmv

Is version 3.1.6b2 really the official update? It's not at the dvdshrink site. Is this including the setup that Mr Bass said wasn't in the latest version he listed (he hasn't listed 3.1.6b2 here yet or on his site)? thanks

lastest is 3.1.3.7 beta 2...now it's kinda pointless as the final is nearing anyway. But honestly posting these betas just confuses the masses. For one, all betas don't include an installer (anyone have 5 mins on the phone with my friends trying explain how to extract DVD Shrink.exe to c:\program files\dvd shrink ...it's ain't fun) I for one don't wish to. Anyway just hold your horses and 3.1.3.7 final will be out before you know it.

I think that media is more important than speed. Have you checked out dvdrhelp.com?

Whenever i try to backup some Indian movies i always get some type of I/O error and i cannot continue anymore.
I am trying another movie and getting a error that VOBS_02_2 has error/ cyclic redundancy check. What is all that about
Can anyone help? Do you think these are pirated DVD's and already has errors or does it have something to do with my NEC DVD drive.

When i play these DVDS on my player they are fine.
