DVI Cables

I am about to get a new NEC 1760NX LCD, which has a dvi-d connection. I plan to hook it up to my ATI branded Radeon 9700 pro.

I have been shopping for dvi cables, all the ones at compUSA are at least 30 bucks plus. There are some on ebay thats about 10-15, and there are some that are 60 bucks, and there are some that are 100 bucks.

Please clue me on why is there a such a huge price difference between the cables

I would *think* that your NEC would ship with a DVI cable.

My three Dell 1800FPs came with cables as well as every LCD I Have at work (Eizos, NECs, Dells).

I believe the NEC model does not ship with a DVI lead,my Samsung 191T also didn`t ship with any DVI lead,lead wise I`m using a Belkin Pro series DVI-D to DVI-D cable,it`s not cheap but the quality is worth it IMHO.

ViewSonic ships with both cables. Fry's carries both types of DVI cables, the more expensive ones are duplex or some such... sorry for the very not technical responce..

1) What is the difference between Dual Link and Single Link?
Dual link enables a higher resolution (1920 X 1080) and more channels. You can view 2 displays simultaniously.
