I have a dual-screen setup. I run a Samsung 191T out of my analogue connection on an MSI TI4400 card, a Samsung 181T on the DVI one. Today when I booted my machine only the 191T came on. I run my 181T as my primary monitor with all desktop icons and process line, and have the 191T to the left of that. First I thought it was just a driver issues. Tried uninstalling and installing several different versions of nVidia drivers. No change. I thought "oh man there goes the DVI output - gotta get a new gfx card". I tried installing another copy of WindowsXP - still the same problem.
Then I wanted to try something else. I took the DVI from my 181T and plugged it into the 191T while it was on. That worked. So the DVI output works! Then I thought it was the monitor (the 181T) which must be screwed, but when I put the cable back in that, it lit up and my normal dual-screen setup was now working! Problem is, after a reboot, I get the same problem again. Hmm... any ideas?
