DVI Quality?

Hey all, Im usually just a viewer but decided I would actually make a thread for once. Anyways, Im wondering if I could string a 2001FP off the DVI running at 1600x1200 and my current Dell lcd on VGA running at 1280x1024. I will also be using UltraMon software to manage the displays. I plan to be doing this all off my ancient but steady evga ti4200. Just wanted to run it past the great forums here before I pull the trigger on the 2001FP.

-I only play Unreal2k4, and I can play that in a window at 8x6, I really do not care.
-I have searched on here and guru3d to name some
-Im not going for a 2005fpw, because the horror stories are turning me off.

The reason im asking this, is I remember reading articles discussing the topic of DVI quality, and just didn't know whether I was going to get some strang results from the ti4200. From this article http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1370528,00.asp it claims that i will be "running at 135MHz is really skating on thin ice..."

I'm not sure about your particular card, but I think everyone here agrees that the 2001FP looks the best on DVI.

It'll probably scale your game well enough that you won't mind running it full screen.

Although 1600x1200 is ideal for games if you have enough power

Oh, btw I am running a 2001FP on a 9700 Pro on the DVI port and a monitor at 1024x768 on the vga port and I haven't noticed any "failures" as that article puts it...

Did you read the article? They are talking about using 5 METER cables! That's over 15 feet...
