DVI vs. Analog?

Does anybody here have any experience with DVI vs. Analog on LCD's? Basically, I want to know if the purchase of a DVI cable would be worth it as far as picture quality?

In most cases (unless you have a Matrox or - to a lesser extent - Built By ATI video card with good 2D analog image quality), the DVI cable will be very much worth it.

I'd just like to know where to buy the dang things separate from the monitors, as I've seen many LCDs that have DVI inputs but don't come with a cable in the box.

On my Dell 1800FP, DVI makes the biggest difference in text over analog. Text is clear and sharply defined with DVI, w/ analog text is "puffy" where the edges aren't as sharply defined and kinda bloom out.

In Taiwan, the DVI is hard to find too.

Some retail storse have, but the price is expensive. (USD$26).

I got mine from the auction web site for USD@5.8

Absolutely get DVI, usually the cable comes in the box I thought otherwise check your online/local stores I'm sure they stock them or could order one in.

Alright, thanks, evidently I should...I just didn't think my picture quality could possibly get any better ...And yes, you can get cables separately, but they typically cost $30+.

Thats weird ... my analog text isnt like that. It's nice and crisp.
