The HDMI does of course carry an audio signal with it if you have the facility to use it ie. speakers on the monitor/ tv you use. I'm not sure if HDMI will drive a 2560x1600 @ 60Hz or whether you need to use a dual link DVI port and cable. I'm sure someone will confirm.
