- Why do people on a PC feel the need to snob consoles?
The probably feel a need to justify the outrageous prices they paid for their PC, when the video card you just bought costs more than the entire console you want the thing to perform better than the console too.
Ever play on Xbox Live? The community is worse than Counter-Strike and WoW.....
At least there's some attempt to match players' skill levels and bleep out the foul language. But no game will ever filter out all the tards.
You can if you allow people to host their own servers.
That's one of the major downsides of consoles.
It's getting that way with PC games though. Now commercial game makers have figured out that they could charge money for a online game then charge money for the ability to play the online game then charged money for advertising in the online game...
All of it has just turned into a huge scam to milk as many 15-25 year old males for as much money as possible. And it's not just software, but hardware makers, too. Everything from SLI video cards, 'onboard raid' with dubious performance and very dubious reliability, special 'Exteme' versions of CPUs, special 'overclocking' motherboards, to 700 watt power supplies on hardware side to most everything. And not only is stuff getting more expensive, but the quality is dropping also. How much hardware that is being sold today that are just crap? Video cards that overheat easily and motherboards that crap out after 6 months..
It's all very irritating.
