Something every pc-owner should know:

1) Game or application crashes to the desktop ? -> That's most likely a bug in the game or application.

2) PC crashes with a "blue screen of death" ? -> Most likely a bug in a driver. Could be a bug in Windows itself (in the kernel), but that is a lot less likely.

3) PC spontanously reboots ? "Black screen of death" ? -> Hardware issue. Something is broken. Or overheating issues. Or the power-supply is not strong enough. Hardware.

Yeah, 70A is 840W which should be at least 100W more than the maximum your system pulls when gaming...

Is the Xeon stock clocked? Not sure if it's one of those overclockable Xeons. If it's overclocked, I believe that's your culprit right there- a 32nm 8-core will consume crap tons more power than its stock 125W TDP, and will quite easily trigger that 70A over current protection with two 980 Ti's on full bore.

Which models are the 980 Ti's?

Either way, 850W is a bit borderline for your setup. If you were on a modern energy efficient platform like LGA1150&i7-4770K, I'd say 850W is fine but in your case you might be pushing the PSU pretty close to maximum even without a CPU overclock.

i thought that it would be enough with 850w but i upgrade my old 3930k and my two gtx 780 no ti to 980 ti
the 2690 is stock 135w and the cards are reference 980 ti gigabyte

this is my setup please im open for ideas on a new psu

Xeon e-5 2690 2.9 8 core 135w
4x 8gb ddr 3 corsair 1600
asrock x79 extreme 4 -m
2 x gtx 980 ti reference stock
3x 4tb seagate 3.5
3x 256gb ssd samsung
3x 120mm fans
3x 80mm fans
1x 120mm fan
1x corsair h60

If a new PSU fixes the problem, then it's possible your XFX is faulty. In which case you could contact XFX and tell them it shuts down your PC with those specs, and get an RMA replacement for it. You can then keep that as a backup or sell it.

New PSU: EVGA PS-1000, 1000W 80+ Platinum full modular
$170 ($135 after rebate)

review 9.6/10 http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=421

If the new PSU does not fix the problem... well, that'd be pretty interesting

I'd be surprised if it is a power issue, unless the PSU is actually faulty. I doubt his setup is pulling more than 650watts out of the wall whilst gaming.
