I have a problem at my work with a dymo label printer.
We have a domain with a domain controller / fileserver and another server that is a print server. We have about 30 to 40 client/terminal computers attached to the domain.
We have about 7 printers and all of them are attached via network to the print server.
We have 2 of the Dymo Label printers, both of them are attached to individual computers.
One DYMO works over the network and one doesn't.
They both work 100% from their computers that they are attached to...
The one that works is attached via USB and the one that doesn't work is attached to a serial port.
We have an old model 330. This is the one I can't get to share on the domain.
We also have a newer model 400 that does work on the domain.
I am not sure exactly where my problem is, but I think it has to do with permissions on the network.
I have the latest drivers and software for the printers.
When looking at the 2 computers that have the dymo printers plugged in direct, the settings seem to be the same. They are both shared over the network with simple names, and both have the security set to allow all users.
When I navigate the network from a different client computer to add the printer, I see the picture below.
It shows the dymo label printer 400 by itself on the network tree, which is also attached to computer C-96.
But if I click on computer56 which is the computer the dymo 330 is plugged into, I get an error message saying windows can't connect to the printer.
How do I get the non-working DYMO 330 printer to show on the network tree like the DYMO 400 printer does?
