How low profile do you need it to be? What case will you be using? That thing will probably work, but will very likely be super noisy. Have you looked into just using the stock cooler? I think the 2600S already comes with a lower profile cooler than the normal 2600.

I have small-form-factor desktop ThinkCentre Edge 71 1578E1G and would like to exchange existing CPU G840 to i7-2600S (Max TDP=65W).

Shows a max TDP of 73 watts on the tech spec sheet, so it will probably work just fine, but I'm guessing it may be a little loud based on how low profile it is.

Heatsink cannot be higher than 75 mm, very good cooling, no noise and I'm ready to pay a little more.

Here are good pictures how it looks inside:

If the motherboard automatically adjusts the fan speed based on cooling needs, then the stock Intel cooler that comes with the CPU (if you buy a retail boxed "PIB") can keep the CPU cool, as well as stay reasonably quiet.

If the motherboard canNOT adjust the fan speed automatically, then the Dynatron you linked to with the 3000RPM fan will be SUPER NOISY.

Either way, I don't see that Dynatron as being any better than the stock fan, other than being decent at cooling in a super low profile WITH high noise. However, at 75mm clearance you do not need that low profile of a cooler.

If you really, really want to spend money, look into a Scythe Big Shuriken. You'll get better cooling (which you don't really need) as well as lower noise (if your motherboard supports automatically adjusting fan speeds).

Thx a lot, but howto find out if the motherboard automatically adjusts the fan speed based on cooling needs?

BTW what's Max TDP of Scythe Big Shuriken?

Usually (but not always) if the fan plug on the motherboard is 4 pin, then it supports PWM for adjusting fan speeds. You can also see if monitoring software (Speedfan?) will tell you. Just monitor it, then do some synthetic load on it like OCCT or Prime95 and see if the fan speed goes up.

IDK what the Big Shuriken officially supports, but people have used it for overclocking.

Yep, my motherboard support adjusting fan speeds.

There are 2 different Shuriken products:
