Dyson DC25 Blueprint - $180.00 off at Best Buy (and don't forget to use Bing Cashback). In-store pick-up option available.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dyson+-+...&skuId=9549429

The unit is normally $530.00, but is on sale for $349.00. I went through Bing to get cashback, which shows a range of 5-15%. Not sure yet how much I'm getting off, yet.

The Dyson DC25 Blueprint is exactly the same as all other DC25 units. The color difference only signifies a difference in bundled accessories. The Animal (purple) comes with the "mini-turbine." The Blueprint (white) comes with the "flat-out" head. The Original (yellow) is cheaper and does not come with either of those specific attachments.

Go to Dyson's website to compare the vacuum models: http://www.dyson.com/store/hmc.asp. The comparison charts inexplicably leave blanks for HEPA filter and Brushbar for the Blueprint, but I called Dyson and confirmed that they are included. I also bought a unit and can confirm that it has both features.

So far, the vacuum has been absolutely amazing (I'm coming from an Oreck).

Thanks op. In for 1. The wife and I had been planning on buying a different vacuum, and right at the time we decided to purchase, the item was no longer available. At this price, it's hard to pass on an item that is normally very, very expensive. Still kinda pricey, but from what I hear from most people, Dyson's are worth it. Glad to have been able to get for just over 33% off.

I wouldnt trade my dyson for any vacuum on the planet...well maybe a pimp central vac installed but other than that no!

We are close to buying a second one and keeping one upstairs and one on the main floor so we dont have to carry it upstairs...I know im lazy..

I agree that the Dyson is fantastic. I was always skeptical about it -- something about their commercial bugged me. But, I must say that the thing is amazing. I was also very surprised that it is smaller than the Oreck. The debris canister is genius.

I got a the Animal Target special edition 2 years ago on sale for 299. We were buying the cheaper 130-180 dollar units and they kept breaking after 12 months. So I decided to splurge and buy a higher quality unit. It works flawlessly and cleans so much better.

I love my Dyson, we've had it for a few years now.

For those not wanting to wait or jump through hoops....look for the Bed, Bath and Beyond 20% coupon, they send them out all the time and always have Dyson's in stock.

How are they with pet hair? I have a collie and I destroyed the Bissell pet hair vacuum in a little over a year.

Mine is the pet hair edition. It seems to work fine. Sucks it up like anything else.

Got mine on Saturday, I just went into the store and they honored the price.

The unit feels very cheap, but it seems to work very well. Pine needles from the xmas tree owned it though and I had to practically take it completely apart to remove the clogged needles.

That's to be expected I suppose, cord is a touch short as has been mentioned many times.

Hose broke within 2 days. Customer service has been giving me the run around for over 3 weeks.

Don't buy this p.o.s. It's selling on woot.com which usally sells overstocked junk.

Get an Aerus Lux or Miele instead.

We've had old of the older Dysons (DC17?) for 5.5 years now. Despite some VERY heavy use (using it to clean out the cars, in the garage, cleaning dog hair etc) it's never had a single issue other than the cheap plastic on one of the attachment brushes breaking. No other vaccuum cleaner I've used other than maybe a Rainbow can compare.

I'd buy another one in a heartbeat but would prefer a different color the 2nd time around.

I have a Dyson and am pretty satisfied with it. I was surprised that they didn't rate very high on Consumer Reports though. Some much cheaper Hoovers were at the top of the latest rankings.

FYI these things have EXTREMELY aggressive beater bars. The reason they 'suck up' so much more 'dirt' is that the 'dirt' is actually carpet fibers being ripped up which makes you think it actually has better suction.

If you have cheap carpet it will take about 4-5 years of vacuuming before you end up with bare spots.

No joke.. Next time you empty your canister take a close look at the contents. I had one of the earlier yellow models, DC07 I think, and it ended up destroying my apartment carpet after a few years. Granted I claimed it as 'normal wear and tear' but gave the thing away when I bought a home. I replaced it with the Eureka Boss (or whatever it's called, the consumer reports recommended one) and LOVE it. It filters much much better and hepa filter bags are dirt cheap on amazon.

A vacuum is nothing more than an air pump with a giant filter (whether it's a bag or a cartridge or whatever). Look at the dyson "filters".. most of the dust is just being pushed through the foam and dumped back into your house.

A hepa bag will filter much better and allow more airflow.. Just sayin..

... I will add that the build quality of the dyson is imo superior to my eureka. The eureka has flimsy handle latches, a stupid cord holder, and is loud. Everything else is awesome.
