My fiance' and I got a Dyson Animal about 4 months ago and we're just amazed at how awesome it is. My folks like Kirby, but I'd say save your ducats and get a Dyson. Worth every penny! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
well we took your reccomendation and several others and got the dyson.

how do you guys justify payinhg $500 for a vacuum? i'll probably get one cause crappy vacuums are worthless but $500 seems expensive
500 bucks is on the cheap side of vacuum cleaners, no?
I consider it a bargain.
It has DDR3 and 12 pipelines, though.Originally posted by: slag

uhh, no.
$500.00 is an insane amount to spend on a vacuum.

central vac. system owns that pos dyson
Amazon has had that refurb dyson for a pretty good price. Found out too late though. I got the purple one with the animal attachment from sears (I Pm'd to a Dyson Approved online vendor for about $450) and it rocks. I wanted and use the attachment for our stairs, otherwise the animal tool is overkill.Edit: I bought a dyson, there was a blue kind at costco which is their top of the line for $429
