its not as much as people think, only like $200 a month and man after working long hours at work it sure is nice to come home to a clean house. if you have a couple of roomates think about how little it would cost you.

I just bought the Eureka BOSS 4870DT which is highly reviewed at Consumer Reports, Amazon and other places. It isn't a bagless, but for $113 shipped after the $25 off coupon it can't be beat!

You DID use the $25 off coupon for Amazon housewares on that expensive Dyson, didn't you?

Edit: I bought a dyson, there was a blue kind at costco which is their top of the line for $429

Amazon has had that refurb dyson for a pretty good price. Found out too late though. I got the purple one with the animal attachment from sears (I Pm'd to a Dyson Approved online vendor for about $450) and it rocks. I wanted and use the attachment for our stairs, otherwise the animal tool is overkill.

It is pretty crazy how much crap that vacuum picks up. And not having to replace bags and filters will eventually make the total price much better. I just question how long the 'not-user-replaceable' belt will last. It seems to have a ratcheting system to protect it, and it seems to work, as I have to clean the roller almost every time I vacuum.


I also question how long the flexible hose will last, as the stress on it when using the wand at close range is pretty severe it seems like it will crack sooner or later.

Oh well, if it lasts a few years I'll be happy.
