E-Mail problem

My ISP went belly up so have a new address, the address on d-net is no longer valid. The problem is that it has been almost 3 years since I signed up and cannot find my password to change my cracking mail address i can remember some of the password. Anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem?

Did you try contacting dnet? I know when I made a mistake they had fixed it for me. It's worth a try....

Well I dont need recruted, If I cannot get this straightend out I will do something else with my machines, if they wont help me I cant help them.

Is the domain name for your former ISP available? If they let it lapse you could go to a cheap reg service and for maybe $6 US register the name yourself, get the email address and do it that way.
Or you could try contacting the admin of that system and get them to change it for you.

have you mailed help@distributed.net?

They are the ones that will do password requests. If you have mailed help@d.net how long since you sent that email? Typically it can take a few days for a response from help@ depending on the nature of the request. Password request take longer due to the nature and steps involved in the process. What they usually do is send a mail to the address that the password is being requested for and check to see if its still active. They also give the email address a few days to reply in case it really is attached to someone. They use that info to decide to send the password or not.
