E-Mail Server

I have a Win2k Server at my house with 3 computers on it. What is the best way to set up an e-mail server for low to medium volume out of my house. I already have a domain name. Would something like MS Exchange Server work? I think that a friend of mine can get me a good deal on that.

This would probably be a much better choice than Exchange for 3 accounts.

Mercury has also been suggested a few times. Not sure how well it works though. I think it's free also

Thanks... the IP Switch is a hell of a lot cheaper than Exchange server.... and it claims to be easier to administer...

Anybody had any experience setting up or using the Imail server from IPSwitch? Was it pretty painless?

Setup was pretty easy. You can also have multiple mail servers running off just one copy of Imail. You need to have the licenses though Just plug in the domain name, open the right ports, and you're good to go. Remember to disable the SMTP server that Microsoft has though. To tell which one is running, just telnet to port 25.

Mercury/32 is a fine mail server for Windows, and it's FREE.
