e100b325.sys problem

When I boot up a get a blue screen in normal mode.


When I boot into safe mode with networking, the computer seems to work fine.


I have analysed the dumb files and they all point to this

Probably caused by : e100b325.sys ( e100b325+a8a8 )

E100b325.sys is an intel file that helps the network card work.


If I rename the e100b325.sys file then windows will boot into normal mode but the network card does not work.



I have tried reinstalling the drivers for the network card, it puts the e100b325.sys file back but then when I boot I get the same blue screen.

If this problem just began happening, you might try a System Restore to before it happened. If it doesn't work, at least it didn't take long to try.

looks like the intel ethernet driver is corrupt? reinstall network driver.

Unfortunately system restore is not working on this system.

UPdate:

Although windows system restore was not working I was able to use minpe and use the registry restore wizzard and that got it up and booting again.

Must have been something corrupted in the registry to cause that to happen.
