I have a feeling the sweet spot here is with the e2200. I've been looking at this chart http://www23.tomshardware.com/...4&model2=873&chart=444 to compare
I currently have a phenom 9500 combo, cost $200, running at 2.6
Frys has an e2200 combo for $80 - bsel mod up to 2.9 seems reasonable (This is around e6750???)
They also have a q6600 combo at $280. overclock to 3.0 seems reasonable. (Where would this put me on Toms chart?)
Return the Phenom, go cheap with the e2200? Save money for a future upgrade?
Return the Phenom, go with the q6600 for only $80 more?
Keep the Phenom, and be somewhere in the middle....
Primary purpose is gaming, I don't do video encoding or number crunching or anything of that nature. But I also don't want to have to upgrade in another year or two....
I have 2 GB of DDR2 PC5300 memory and an 8800GT.
