Avalon, I'd say you're a bit high as well. For reference, I'm running the following:
abit IP35-E
E4400 - L2 - 2.8Ghz (10x 280FSB) @ 1.325Vcore (default)
OCZ Plat. Rev.2 1Gx2 @ DDR2-840 (280FSB @ 1:1.5 ratio), 4-4-4-15-2T @ 2.05Vdimm
Stock Intel Cooler (upgrading when I can, trust me!)
Temps are running @ 42 +/-1 idle & 68 +/-1 load using Orthos large.
I get a perfectly stable OC with specs of:
abit IP35-E
E4400 - L2 - 3.0Ghz (10x 300FSB) @ 1.345Vcore (one step [.02] from default)
OCZ Plat. Rev.2 1Gx2 @ DDR2-900 (300FSB @ 1:1.5 ratio), 4-4-4-15-2T @ 2.15Vdimm
Stock Intel Cooler
If ONLY it'd be stable at default Vcore! The temps @ 300FSB/1.345Vcore get a bit high for my tastes with that OC at: 43 +/-1 idle (thank you C1E & EIST) & 74 +/-1 loaded using Orthos large.
Anything touching 75C is too hot for my tastes even though it's within the 'Tjunction less 25C' parameter. Hence, I'm running 24/7 @ the highest stable overclock at default voltage (2.8Ghz for me).
Once I get my planned AC Freezer 7 Pro down the road ($20! ...why not?), I'm hoping for 10x 333FSB. Unfortunately I'll probably have to drop my ratio to 1:1.25 for DDR833, 4-4-4-15-2T. UNLESS I'm very lucky and my RAM will run @ 1:1.5 for DDR2-999 at, say, 5-5-5-15-2T. BUT, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
I have tried dropping the multi to 8x & 9x w/ a 333FSB, but it doesn't help that much and the Vcore still had to go up to 1.385, plus you have to disable C1E & EIST at non-default multi. So, dropped that RIGHT back down and am where i am now.
In any case, a 40% overclock is fine with me at default voltage with stock cooling!
EDIT: Added screen shots of all overclocks.
