E3 2011 - The Thread of Project Cafes, Games as a Service and The Rise of The Indies

I'm heading to the show again this year and I'm curious what games you guys think looks interesting. So far my must-see's are:

- Nintendo's Project Cafe
- Sony Vita (PSP 2)
- Skyrim (appointment already set for 6/8)
- Rage (hands-on appointment already set for 6/8)
- Mass Effect 3
- Assassin’s Creed: Revelation
- Uncharted 3
- Bioshock Infinite

I'd really like to see more indie-games this year so if anyone has any recommendations/connections please let me know.

I plan on stopping by the THQ booth and looking for Darksiders 2 and Saint's Row 3, so I'll keep an eye out for Dark Millennium.

Bioshock Infinite looks awesome. I'd be more than happy with more on that. And differences between Skyrim and Oblivion that aren't visual (gameplay changes, controls and such).

I was trying to go but I just can't pull off the expense. Making the trip from Atlanta to L.A. plus accommodations was outside my pay scale as a freelancer.

I forgot about that one. Twisted Metal is very important. Actually probably not THAT important, as it'd take a flood of sub-80s reviews for me to not buy it.

Twisted Metal looks ok, but honestly I'm really interested in seeing what THQ is doing with Saint's Row 3. As corn as it sounds, I feel like this industry--and the gamers--are in dire need of something as wacky as SR3.

Oh, and if Dice happens to have BF3 in both it's PC and console formats, I'd love your take on the graphical differences.

I am interested in what Sony and MS will show off. Last year sucked, with the shows being centered around motion controls. MS doesn't have a lot going on for the rest of the year outside of Gears and Forza.
