Will the new chips, that Intel is going launch (e4400, e6320, and e6420), be compatible with existing LGA 775 motherboards? I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be, but just want to check.
Not necessarily. Some boards may get dumb and not work unless with an updated BIOS. One example is the E4300 and ECS mobo combo at Fry's about 1-2 months ago. That combo would not even POST together. Solution was to use a "supported" CPU to update the BIOS on the mobo before it would work with the CPU it was bundled with.
