I've got an e4600 @ 3.2Ghz 266x12 at 1.325V. Have 1 8800gt and a second one on the way. 2x2GB OCZ ReaperX pc-8000 Ram, EVGA 750i mobo, Arctic Freezer 7 Pro. Will the cpu bottleneck the system? I live in florida so the ambient temperatures here are pretty high - so either push the cpu more or get the e8400 or leave it the same?

not convinced it will bottleneck the system. a 3ghz+ C2D is a very powerful cpu by any means atm. try pushing for 3.6ghz or so (keep the temps/voltages in check though) and benchmark in games to see if the performance gain is tangible. if it plays all of your games fine, then you probably should keep the cpu unless you have lots of cash to spend on a new cpu.

3.2Ghz a bottleneck, are you serious?, thats the highest stock rating of any Intel CPU.....400mhz more and you might get 5-10 FPS more than the 200 you already get, or you might fry your cpu......

Not really, I don't even have crysis. Play WoW, CoD4, TF2, and Company of Heroes at 1680x1050, preferably with highest AA possible while keeping my fps above 40. There were some moments when I can get under 20 fps in WoW.

For those games your CPU is enough but it can't help but to do a little OCing provided you know what you are doing. The WOW framerate drop is most likely a driver/SLI/ game coding issue.

I don't see a bottleneck there. Keep it as it is and you'll be fine.

The second card is coming tomorrow so I guess I'll post some benchmarks with and without the card tomorrow.

Yeah as pointed out the CPU OC'd to 3.2 is fine. But in the case of wow, you'll see better frane rate boosts from upping the CPU. The game engine offloads a fair amount of the graphics work to the CPU so it can be played on older cards that don't support the newer shaders etc.

For GPU shader heavy games the extra GPU will do more than a faster OC on the CPU.
