You can probably afford it but why would you when you could save the 14 dollars. How are you getting ripped off?
This place has free shipping too.
... I purchase it from random shop #15, I have no way to tell that these are new or that they aren't returns from failed OCing or something and if they are and I buy it from random shop #15 I have no way to prove to Intel that it wasn't me who overclocked it and killed it. I feel that assurance is worth $14. They claim they are authorized, but has anyone bothered to send Intel an email and check their status? If not you're taking a big gamble.

I'll tell you how. Go to intel's site here, and look at the retailers they list. I buy from ZZF or Newegg or one of those places, I'm guaranteed that it's a new part I'm paying for. I was looking online to find the best price for the new Intel E6400 Core 2 Duo processor. Through a hot deal forum I found this place. At first I was a bit skeptical since this is the only site that offered it at MSRP. Most vendors sell at 10-20% markup. But rest assured, HW Rebuild came through. Price includes free shipping and shipping came fast. Excellent!

I dont understand why people are scared of buying a retail box cpu from here. If they dont send it, just call your credit card company and dispute the charge. THe credit card company will take the charge off and you dont lose any money.
it is definitely funny, some of the crazy linguistics on that site. How 'bout a video card that's been used for one month also being listed as brand new--in the same breath even: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="https://host201.ipowerweb.com/~hwrebuil/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=193">https://host201.ipowerweb.com/~hwreb......_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=193</a>Originally posted by: OCNewbie
I like when I go to the E6400 page and I see this "Customers who bought this product also purchased" this item - Link. Might be tough getting those two to work together.
