e6750 stepping codes?

I have purchased everything for my new build except the processor. I am very much leaning towards a e6750 but before I purchase I want to know if there are multiple steppings availible for this cpu, or will they all be identical? Anything else I should look for? This computer is primarily for surfing, downloading, burning, some server apps, video editing, some watching hi def, and very very little gaming:
Also, one concern about my mb choice. A review on newegg claimed this board doesn't do 1333 FSB, I dunno what he was talking about, but my only possible idea is this. and I can't find it now. But somewhere on the abit site it shows a comparison chart. The ip35pro shows 1333FSB but under ram specifications it shows 4 slots and the highest compatible is 1066. Is that a concern?

here are my specs:
ip35 pro abit mb
e6750 cpu
antec solo case
thermaltake pure power 500 watt PSU
2x1gb OCZ gold gx xtc rev 2 (ocz2g800r22gk)
2x1gb GSkill f2-6400cl5d (I should have got matching ram but this was too good a deal to pass up)
Cooler Master GeminII CPU (was cheap)
2 antec 92mm tricool variable speed fans (also cheap)
MSI nx8600GTS vid card 256mb gddr3 hdcp ready
WD caviar se16 320 HD (2 more drives to come later for raid)
samsung 20x sata dvdr sh-s203b
vista 32 bit home premium for system builders

I have built at least 10 computers in the past, probably more but nothing newer than a p4 3.0ghz so I am a little out of the game.
Was pc2-6400 the right ram choice?

That's great, thanks for the reply. I am debating to go newegg or local. I have had to eat a couple restocking fees from newegg, but the prices are still good.

One stupid question, what does the fact that it was manufactured in November 07 actually mean? Just that it wasn't sitting around so I will have a longer warranty?

And how come your e6750 shows 333x6? Shoudn't it be x8 multiplier or is that some sort of speed stepping on your motherboard slowing it down when the power isn't needed?

default speed for the E6750 = 2.66GHz @ 333FSB x 8 multiplier.
Turn EIST and C1E on and your cpu will throttle down using the 6x multiplier and lower vcore.
All E6750 use the G0 revision.

the manufacturing date just shows when it rolled out of the Intel FAB. Your warranty starts the day you have bought the CPU.

yeah for now I have the power saving feature on because it seems plenty fast enough anyway. If I start playing a game or something the multi goes back up to 8x.

Cool, that is a feature I didn't even know about. I assume you enable that the way that phunkone states in the post above. And as demand calls for it ups itself automaticly then. Is that a function of the bios (changine e1st and c1e)?

well I think it's enabled by default in the bios. some people don't like it and turn it off as soon as they setup their system but as long as it's not slowing me down while gaming I think saving power and probably extending the life of the cpu a bit is a good thing.

EIST is a feature in the bios, you can set it to disabled if you need/want to, check the manual.

So, just to elaborate on this a little more, are all e6750's the g0 stepping code? If not, what do I need to look for?

I have no info on the E6750 as far as steppings, sorry. Dont take every newegg review as an expert review, any idiot can post whatever he wants there. Yes I said he, not "they" or he/she. 1333FSB 1066 RAM standard is not a concern.
Good mobo/good cpu/sure thats a good case
Some will say thats not a great PSU but if it works for you great
Im sure you overpaid for that OCZ because
yes you got a great deal on that G.Skill and ya know what? Ram dont make a lick of difference in these Core2 cores.
Im sure that CM HSF is better then stock, but how much better is up to debate(just a guess)
As you dont game, im sure thats an awesome gfx card.
I'd give my opinion of RAID(0? or 1?) but since you do video editing, raid0 is good.
Good job making the move to vista. Its the new XP, sure it might not be the best now, but XP sucked compared to 98se back in the day (what.. 8yrs ago now?) as well, now its de facto. Adapt early and embrace the future.
Oh, and for Idontcare, True I didnt answer his main question of "there are multiple steppings availible for this cpu, or will they all be identical? Anything else I should look for?" I did give him my opinion of his setup as per "Also comment on my new build please"
Oh yes, PC2-6400 was a great choice. Run your ram at 1:1 and your golden.

PC2 6400 is fine, heck I run it and mines cruising at 3.6. Mine was also a G0 stepping but I was never into overclocking in the past so I just decided on the 6750 cause of the price. Didnt even look into the stepping of it and didnt care at the time. After seeing what this chip was able to do for the 1st time since I have been building computers I decided it would be a shame NOT to overclock it. Its really a sick chip and well worth the price hands down.

Actually, that is a great reply exactly what I am looking for. We shall see about the PSU, the HS was free after rebate, but no fan. I am looking for a 120mm, maybe a fluid dynamic bearing, maybe even a scythe. But, I really don't want to go over 20$ max for a fan. I have been running raid 0 for about 5 years on my Kr7133-r stable as a rock. But, I never run an OS on it, only for my editing. Only twice ever have I had to recover any data from it, once do to a failure, and once do to an accidental erase. Both times I had great luck with recovery software even though it supposedly doesn't work well on raid setup's. I actually downgraded one of my cpu's from an athlon 1800 to an athlon 1600 to get a sought after stepping code and because of that I run stable at 12.5X150 Which is like a 32% overclock or something like that. I am no stranger to this game, just living in ancient history, hah!
I hope for the best with Vista, I have faith it will be great eventually. May attempt a dual boot for now. Anything is better than that hoax of an operating system they called ME! And so many people didn't want to upgrade to XP from it. Imagine.
I don't think there are different steppings for the e6750, at least I can't find them. Either way, I am not going to worry about it at this point. And thanks for not bringing up the Q6600 instead, I can't bear another decision.

G0 is the only stepping for e6750. They will almost certainly discontinue e6750 when the new penryn chips release in feb/mar, so don't expect any new stepping on them, either.

Update on this. I returned the IP35 and purchased an IP35 Pro. I also purchased an e6750 combination at Fry's. It came with a decent shuttle motherboard that has on board graphics (intel 670 I think) and sound etc. I figured I could throw a 2140 or something in it for the wife. They were only 199 together.

Anyhow, I returned the 6750 and shuttle to Fry's. They were a really great deal, but I am now getting antsy about the E8400 so everything is on hold until next month. Hopefully it will be a worthwhile upgrade, from the few reviews out there they are overclocking the e8400 to 4ghz on air.
