It says 209 now, but its retail, and the egg is OEM !
Edit: the 205 is only if you buy a bundle. Its $209 + shipping ($7.83 for me)

I went ahead and picked up one from Mwave for the $209.00. Now I'm just waiting to hear that it is shipping out today.

Your choice is not to buy it at these high prices, but many will. That is why they price it so high.

Egg has auto-gouging technology which they enable for non-sale items. When people dogpile on to buy popular products the price auto-gouges until supply equals demand.
I think intel will make as many CPUs as people want to buy, so I'm going to wait a week to get mine.

How fast does Amazon stock products like these? Since they have no tax and free shipping, it might be good.

its the egg-gouge TM.
The reason the egg gets away with it is that they used to be really good.
For 5 years I told everyone I know "If you want to buy something for computers don't bother looking anywhere else, just go to newegg.com and buy it".
I am certain I wasn't the only one. Many other people I know who were knowledgeable did the same. They will also just log in and buy when they wanted something.
So the egg started taking advantage of it. They are making more money now, but at the price of their supreme reputation that they worked so hard to build. In my eyes their rep is already lost.
Their service WAS also the best in class, but has since deteriorated.
