E8400 Dual Core Processor for $140?

I was tempted to buy, but it sounded too good to be true, plus I'm still debating whether to go with quad or this deal. If I were a reseller, I'd grab them all!

I just ordered this at a little after 10:00. They sent me an order confirmation. I wasn't going to upgrade until Nehalim but I couldn't pass up the price. I'm hoping it ships since I already have a confirmation.

Well, I have an order number and can track it. Its says its processing for shipment as a regular order. Hasn't shipped yet though, so I guess there is still time for someone to go to work and say WTF and cancel it.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed until I see a cancellation e-mail or that it has shipped.

i was browsing the slickdeal forums and a lot of them have UPS tracking numbers now. they're gonna lose a lot of money if all of these orders actually ship. $140 is probably like, below their cost

I've ordered and tracked a lot of items and many times they provide a "tracking number"; however, the item has not been picked up by the shipping company (i.e., the shipping company was "notified" to pickup an item, but the order has not left the warehouse).

I got an email from them asking for confirmation of my CC (rep said because I was a new customer). He said they will ship Monday morning when I called.

sure. I bought this within about 10 mins of it being posted on Slickdeals if that matters, and I had the tracking number for the deal was dead.

All I got was a confirmation- hope that is enough. I saw this about ten minutes after it was first posted and I started diddling around looking for stuff to buy so I could get free shipping when I realized this was so hot it might run out of stock before I could finish. If they do ship, I will be surfing the CompUsa site on a regular basis looking for bargains- unlike some other site (Ewiz, cough cough) that pulled the rug from under me. Yep, there is a reason some companies grow to the size they are and others struggle while hiding behind legalese.

pretty awesome, my friend actually called me while i was at a happy hour and pounding back beers to order this. i'm pretty glad i went back into my office to order it as they just released my order to the warehouse.

Some people that got in early apparently have tracking numbers already. For others that don't, like me, it'll be interesting to see what Tiger Direct does about the backlog come Monday morning when management gets wind of the pricing mistake. Maybe I'm being cynical, but considering they are loosing money on these, I'll be very surprised if they continue to ship and/or process backorders. Should be interesting...loose a bunch of money...or face the wrath of a bunch of pissed off Hot Deal mongers.

well i think they only did it for 2-3 hour apparently so it cant be that long.

hopefully they ship them.
