Ditto! Just updated to 1.3, no problems, pings are great in the browser, game loads at normal speeds. :roll:

45% done dling patch. with 1.2 or w/e i would have like either 0 or 200 ping servers nothing in between....have they fixed that?

Not sure as I've never had that issue to speak of. BF2 runs excellent for me online and single player. I can't say I've ever had any issues with the game. I also run Special Forces (awesome expansion and worth the money, IMHO) and haven't had any problems. Maybe for those who buy their add-on packs, the game runs better? Who knows.

You guys do know that EA hasn't made any of the Battlefield games right? They're just the publishers. They might force deadlines and cut funding, but it's Dice I curse everytime I have to bare a bug in BF2 (I do a lot of cursing).

Very true. Battlefield 1942 is much better. I'll play BF1942 over BF2 anyday...are BF1942 servers still fairly populated? Maybe i'll start playing it again.

I had no problems with 1.3... I used the incremental patch from 1.22 to 1.3, and as with all the previous patches, ran into no problems whatsoever. You all suck

I just installed v1.3, havent tested it yet. Hopefully it wont be too bad.


As for the side discussion on steam...i cant say that I hate it, but I do get annoyed that its auto update uses ALL your system resources, and the fact that It wont let me install CS off my cd, instead it forces me to download it through steam at a nice 30kbps taking hours...THANKS STEAM!
