EA support is worthless. I spent a week trying to get an Origin download copy of Crysis and Crysis Warhead (since I have both on disc from the Maximum Edition and figured I might as well integrate them into Origin with Crysis 2). Jumped through all these hoops to create like 3 different EA "classic" accounts because I kept getting different support people who told me different stuff. Now I have like 15 different EA accounts and still don't have either game in Origin where I wanted.

I just gave up. You would think you could just enter your game key and be granted a new digital download copy, but nooo.

Um, I'm pretty sure the promotion wasn't active until 2/14, which would mean you didn't qualify for the bonus.

Either way, EA is a complete clusterfuck and this is the last time I purchase anything from Origin. And if I do get any EA games they will be used versions.

Yet another reason to not support Origin. Steam may be DRM laden BS, but at least they provide some carrots along with the BS, and their customer support actually seems to care about helping their customers.

I'm never going to play after being very disappointed with ME2 (bugs galore for me, gamestopping and character erasing bugs) so I had no intention of pre-ordering ME3.

I say this because I didn't get my free dead space 2 game for pre-ordering BF3. EA is so full of crap it is amazing. The reason they gave me back then was that they ran out of copies of Dead space 2 to give to people.

HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF A GAME IN DIGITAL FORM????

I'm going to need a really good reason to buy more stuff from EA. Bioware is easy to avoid now and the C&C series. It's good that EA has destroyed most of the game series I used to love, makes my decision easier.

Well, looks like I pre-ordered too soon. I guess I should have canceled my order and preordered again. Fuck me right? I've never dealt with a company with such contempt for their customers as EA. I'm done with them.

Wow. So it literally only lasted three days.

EA aside, it was a fine bargain though, even I would've hopped on that if I liked Mass Effect at all. As much as it sucks that they ended the deal so early, I can kinda see why they pulled it.

I no longer buy EA games. I used to research the hell out of DRM and any known issues before buying, and then after a while I just stopped entirely.

Why? Because they only offer free game deals for a few days at a time?

There are certainly things to dislike about EA, but disliking them because they don't offer free stuff for longer periods is kind of laughable.

yeah I'm a brainless idiot, because I expected that a company would not force customers who previously ordered to have to cancel and reorder to get the same deal as latecoming customers.

Every time I've ever preordered something, and a deal later came up, I have always been given that deal without having to reorder. For example, Amazon offered a $10 discount to MW3 preorders about a month after I preordered. Amazon is a good company, so they automatically gave the discount to the existing preorders. EA is a shit company, so they do not.

In summary: take your condescending attitude and shove it up your gaping asshole.

The promotion said 2/14 through 2/17 and you didn't order between those periods. Then you just assumed you would get it?

I hate EA, hate Origin, and almost got a tumor from reading your first online chat, but this is on you. You should have cancelled and reordered when the promotion applied.

This is all unless you got some sort of communication from them saying you'd get it.

Customers who pre ordered the game earlier should get the same deal as those who pre ordered it later, if not then they should at least be given the same deal if they ask for it. EA is garbage :thumbsdown:

on a serious note, yes the text based support sucks mighty cock. I've had a very polite agent assist me in getting my bf3 to work though when I requested to be called through origin.

It's kinda sad since I feel like that job may drain the life out of him eventually.

The very few dealings I've had with EA customer support have been as good as any other company. I can't think of any company I've had "shit support" from where my issue wasn't resolved in like 5 minutes. That's with the likes of Blizzard, EA, Steam (Valve), NCSoft.

I bet it's more like this behind the scenes:

Customer: I have issue xxxxx
EA support: Ok one second while I retrieve your account
*During this time they cross-check your IP with a secret database to see how much EA hater threads you participated in. If none, you get option A, if lots, you get option B.
Option A - 3 minute wait:
EA support: Ok your issue should be resolved, anything else I can help you with?
Option B - 35 minute wait and a transfer to India:
EA support: Sorry asshole, go buy the game again
