Earliest memory

What is the earliest memory you have in your life?

I think mine is probably playing with GI Joes at school with friends during recess. We used to take the fresh grass clippings and make forts for the GI Joes. This is probably 2nd or 3rd grade.

I can't remember anything earlier than that.

hmm...actually i think i just remembered one from kindergarten or maybe 1st grade. the first time (and last ) i ever kissed a girl.

hmm I can remember back from preschool (about 3-4yrs old) - my birthday and my bro was kicking all the other kids ass on Street Fighter on a mega drive. I remember we had pizza for lunch 2.

Mine would probably be in Kindergarden. I was on the monkey bars and some kid was trying to pull me down by my feet. It was terrifying.

I remember back in preschool or a bit before, when my brother was born, we are 4 years apart.

I remember going to the hospital with my grandma when my mom was giving birth to my little brother. I was about two.

My earliest memory is when I was less than 2 years old:
I can remember being awakened by my mother, and the neighbor lady was there also, they got me dressed (Apparently to go to the hospital). I remember nothing after that until I was out of the hospital, (I had a hernia operation, Groin.) and being at my grandparents house.
I was wearing a diaper, and when I walked, it hurt so I would swing my leg out to get around.
I distinctly remember Dad making fun of the way I walked!
My mother says I was less than 18 months old at the time, walking, yet still in diapers!

When I was about two I wandered away from our yard and was standing in the middle of the street crying, my grandfather came by and brought me home.

The sense of being lost never really left me.

Haha.. here's an embarassing one. I asked to go to the bathroom in pre-school and my teacher wouldn't let me so I eventually pissed myself because I couldn't hold it any longer, she felt so bad and I remember her helping me change into new shorts. I don't recall saying anything but my parents told me they talked to her afterwords and I said something to the effect of 'bet you won't do that again' lol. I was an asshole even in small pants

yeah. i saw a photo of me playing with some puppies when i was really young but i can't say i remember it.

I remember a party in a park, when my dad's job moved from one store to another (he was a small engine mechanic). I asked them about it and they said I was like 2-3.

Like a few others here, when I was just under two years old I remember going with my grand parents to pick up my mom and new baby brother from the hospital.

I also remember picking out a stuffed humpty dumpty for him then "giving" it to him. I also remember how hot it was that day and when I laid in the bed beside him for the first time how cool the sheets were.

I also remember when I was three a bunch of us went to some department store. There in the parking lot I was stuck in the backseat of the car because the seatbelt was stuck.

I remember my grandfather trying to free me but he only made the seatbelt tighter. So they finally went in, got scissors, and cut the belt.

I remember a lot of things from 2 to 5 years of age with vivid clarity. I assumed that was normal.

i remember my grandfather telling me to wash my hands after using the restroom.
that was pre-preschool; i was probably 3.
the preschool had this wooden train & a wooden track you'd put together. i loved that, i was so enthralled w/ trains.
I remember ice chunks being in my milk box. i couldnt stand that.

I can't remember it anymore, but when I was younger I remembered being born. I described to my mom a bright place with a few people, and that I was crying because suddenly the world had gotten really really cold.

I also don't know how old I was, but definitely a toddler - airplanes scared me, especially "ultra-lights," small one-person things. Helicopters too. One day a squad of at least 10 helicopters flew over. I was outside at the time and freaked the hell out. I hid in a nearby shed until my parents came to retrieve me.

I have other scattered memories as well, but I'd need to ask my parents about when they happened.

One of my earliest was when my parents were stationed at Nellis AFB, and I remember my father telling me that we were moving to Turkey as we were washing our Volvo. I was trying to wrap my head around the idea that there were countries makes entirely of Turkey

I also remember getting into a fight with my younger sister at the dinner table, and then stabbing her in the head with a fork I was three at the time......

Eating cheerios off the kitchen floor. Playing with cars on the oval rug and my dad coming in the front door from work. My sister getting to eat ice cream because she had her tonsils removed. Climbing the ladder while the house was being re-roofed. Climbing out of my crib. Getting my temperature taken...that way.

All of these were before I was two.

Edit...I'm 34.
