hmm. Maybe pre-school age? Im not sure if its an actual memory though, or just something ive reconstructed based off of some pictures.

Either way, ive probably got less than a dozen memories from when I was younger than 10. (I am 23 at the moment).

edit: I had an extremely laid back childhood, which is probably why I dont really have any memories from then. I think if I had more traumatic moments in my life, I would remember a lot more.

The only times pre-kindergarten that I can recall are pretty much visits to the pediatrician. I guess I remember those because of how horrible I found them to be. I remember the scenery, the smells and my doctor's cold hands. To this day, I'm still not convinced he was 100% ethical but I'm not sure...lol

I have vivid memories of kindergarten and every year after. I got chicken pox in kindergarten right before a play we were performing so I was on stage with huge sores all over my face. Lovely...

I remember things from before my parents moved into their current house, which was when I was 3 1/2. So I remember things from when I was 3, possibly 2. It helps to have a major life change like that to help you distinguish when events happened.

yeah, nothing ever happened to me and nothing ever happened where i don't have reason to remember anything i guess. i just can't remember much. i guess ebcause my life is so boring i have no reason to try to keep memories.

My earliest memory that I can pin down to a specific day was my oldest brother's 6th birthday, which places me at two. I also have memories of wearing diapers, which might be before that.

Probably just under 2 years old as well, maybe younger. I remember lying in my crib sucking on my milk bottle. I also remember subsequent times where I got juice instead of milk and got pissed.

I remember at about 3-4 years old (at least before preschool) that we were at Circus Circus in Las Vegas on a vacation and I wanted in the jacuzzi with my dad. I don't know what the rules are now, but you used to have to be of certain age to get in them. I remember being extremely upset and my dad sneaking me in and letting me in for a couple of minutes.

My first memory was when I was still sleeping in a crib. I had a nightmare that King Kong was climbing up the side of our apartment building, then I saw his eyes staring in through the window, and then his hand came towards me and I woke up.

Not sure what was up. I just remember laying on the table and him checking out my boyhood. NOTHING over the top, which is why I'm unsure if he was being ethical or not. I was pretty young so AFAIK, maybe it's normal for a pediatrician to do that. If he were being obvious, then I'm sure it would stand out to me because I remember other aspects of the visits as well like the wooden tongue depressors making me gag. But from what I recall, it usually just involved me laying down, him listening to my heart/breathing and then he'd usually just kind of inspect the goods for a few seconds. That was pretty much it.

I don't have kids yet so I haven't experienced taking a child to a pediatrician to know what the standard procedures are. If I had to guess, I'd say I was around 5-6 years old perhaps. Man, my childhood suddenly seems far more screwed up than I thought it was.

I was crossing the street when I was 4 and some other girl was crossing me and told me to go (she was like 7). There was this HUGE pine tree on the corner of the street and it was pouring rain, so I went and as I went I sa the car and tried to run back but I slipped and the car nailed me, dragigne me 30 yards with my head pinned between the car and the ground.

I broke my right femur and I have a boatload of scars on my forehead and on the left/right sides of my head that I don't have some hair growing. It's a lot more noticeable when I hget my hair cut.

I also had to have plastic surgery on my forehead area and my eyebrows don't sit straight. You can't really notice until I point it out to people, and when I wear sun glasses you can notice because you can see my eye brow above one side of my sun glasses but not the other.

Also if I lower my eye brows making an angry face you can tell as well with the way the skin goes.

Needless to say, that tree has been long LONG gone and was cut down immediately after the accident. There has also been a circle put in the road to slow traffic down in the neighborhood it happened on.

EDIT:

can kind of see some of the scars here and here.

Also pretty noticeable scar here too where my hair is messed up going towards my sideburns.

Figured as much but I'd by lying if I said I haven't questioned it at times over the years. He had a great reputation in my hometown and was the primary pediatrician there. If he were doing anything out of line, it would have caught up with him eventually. But AFAIK, he retired there with no accusations.

Just always struck me as a little odd but maybe I just didn't like having that done to me as a kid. Doesn't mean it was inappropriate though. I just haven't had kids of my own to see what happens during routine pediatrician visits. Oh well, my childhood is still pretty screwed up but at least I can feel better about that aspect of it.

Thats pretty normal. The doctor always has, and still does check out my "boyhood" everytime I go in for a physical. Maybe hes just impressed

Even after you pointed all of that stuff out, I honestly can't see any of it in those pictures.

You're lucky to be alive after something like that.

I think it's my (really soon after that ex-)best friend threatening me with the pocket knife his mother gave him for not sharing my cookie with him.
