Earthquake in Portland (11/5)

News is saying the earthquake is centered right in downtown Portland. I'm in Beaverton and didn't feel anything.

I'm in NW Portland (23rd ave area), and definitely felt something. Not that much, really - more like a bookcase in the condo over us fell over or something.

It's weird that it's centered in downtown, though. It's not like it's a very large downtown at all. Just an odd coincidence, I suppose.

That wouldn't even happen in a 4.0. The Northwest had a 5.x quake during spring break years ago and it was just a gentle rocking, no real ... anything.

That's not true. The epicenter was centered around Molalla and they sustained about 30 million dollars in damage.

This isn't California, we don't get earthquakes that often.. let alone near downtown.
