Easiest way to get into password protected system

Picked up a nice little Intel NUC at the fleamarket. Boots up fine and is quiet as heck. It is password protected for user and admin. What's the easiest way to get this thing up and running again? Can I "get in" (ubuntu or something) as opposed to reinstalling OS? Windows 7 Pro OEM with legit key sticker on bottom.

Is it a BIOS password? Or a Windows password?

There are password crackers for Windows, or you could just re-install the OS clean, if you just want to use the hardware.

If it's BIOS-protected, I don't know. I know with laptops, unless you can prove legal ownership to the mfg, then you have to physically replace the entire motherboard.

Passwords for local accounts on Windows PCs are useless. We deal with this all the time. Active Directory passwords aren't as easy.

I would recommend Konboot.

Failing that I would download another ISO called Hiren Boot disc. There's a password changer included.

If you bought a computer at a fleamarket, I don't care if the user account is password protected or not, reinstall the OS.
