Easter Dispute

Ok, I grew up using real eggs hidden for easter and toys/candy would go in the easter basket when you wake up. My g/f grew up using plastic eggs with candy and toys inside. So, what's the deal? What did you grow up doing? What do you do now?

haha my wife and I were having this discussion last night... We were different as well..

In mine there was candy, change, and occasionally cash. But we also had an easter basket full of candy & crap when we woke up.

We had real eggs hidden and also our easter baskets hidden, which contained our candy. I think that is pretty much how you did it, by the way it sounds

Where I grew up in the Deep South we'd find some hippie that looked like Jesus and crucify him on Easter.

when we were younger my parents/grandparents put plastic eggs inside and outside the house. they each had a clue (and a little money). once you got all the clues, you could find the 'big egg' which had a lot of money (for a kid) in it.

as we got older, the hunts became larger. for a while, they moved to my grandfathers 60 acre farm. it involved using ATV's, etc.

once we became old enough to drive, they buried them all over town. it took all day to find the 'big egg'.

it was a cool tradition.

My family doesn't do anything except remember Jesus's sacrifice on Easter. The easter egg hunt was invented by people therefore we don't practice that useless tradition.
