Anyways, for Delhi, that seems like you are getting underpaid, but then again, Delhi is not very IT oriented, unlike the South, is it? I'm not from the south or Delhi (I'm gujji) so I wouldn't know much.

Where will the projects be handed to you from? Delhi? Mumbai? South? Out of country?

If they are out of country, you could always ask for more, but as most people have already said, we don't know how much experience you have, and what kind of coder your are (good/bad). Do you have some kind of portfolio that you can show, saying that these are my pieces of work, and you are this good? If not, I would suggest building up a portfolio.

Everyone is ridiculing you because you are asking for advice on a off topic forum about selling your skills (which you dont have yet) and want to know if you can handle the job that you aren't trained for. People writing projects, or contractors, depending on what "scripts" or "code" you are writing, can make from 20-100 an hour. If you are writing novell login scripts, or Javascript, or programming in excel, all of these have varied rates. I would suggest you do some more research on the internet, figure out what area you plan on "learning" for your second life, and then come back with some more structured, specific questions.

"Second Life" is the name of a game that he's trying to program objects for, not just some vague ambition of his.

You are right about one thing, though... This guy is going to need more training and English writing skills before he can make any serious money doing freelance work.

People don't pay a certain amount based on the program you use. It's the quality of product you produce. If you're talented at your works with anything, you'll be paid more than if you are an amateur. You don't just enter the field and get paid a base hourly wage because you can use the program.

Combine your lack of ability to understand the English language with your obvious "noob" approach to the topics; you will not be successful.
