I use this for managing my digital pics. This app is extremely easy to use, very functional, fast and free.

Manage all your pics by year, month and day - auto transfer into folder named by date. Make custom albums, mark pics as favorites.

Simple one click editing: crop, red eye, enhance, etc.

Great for printing at home with tons of options - want a sheet of wallets? Two 5"x7"s? One click.

Great for online printing, choose from Ofoto or other services. All built in, no leaving and hunting through folders.

E-mail directly, import your contact list. You can auto resize for e-mail or send original size. You can also choose to use the Ofoto system for sharing.

Despite owning irfanview and Photoshop, I use this app - it does what the others don't and is not bloatware. Extremely useful for beginners too, I install it for family members who get digital cameras but have no clue how to use them.

Just an FYI for those who want something fast and easy or want to help family members out. Enjoy.

Do you know (or can anyone say) if it works with restricted-users under win XP ? (other than the initial "install")
...Or do you have to have admin privs just to use it? Couldn't find the answer under FAQs.

Hoping someone knows... or knows of software that does....

thanks

No idea sorry, I'd have to check when I get home. I guess it's cheap enough to try though. Just uninstall it if it doesn't work out.

I found it to be a very irritating application. The version I worked with had many install issues starting with admin rights and ending with being completly unable to install because of a slight modification to the default my docs dir. It was intrusive, awkward and counterintuitive at every step. And that was just the install. But thats just my opinion. I really didn't actually use it alot after installing it for someone else. It seemed that the camera made it very hard to tranfer data without the software unlike most cameras. Frankly after installing this software for 3 different users Kodak is the one camera most likely not to buy just because if the software install. I'm curious to see others remarks.

I am gonna try and install this for my mother. It's just a pain having to explain what "Cut" and "Paste" means to someone with minimal computer knowledge

All I could hear was 'Jackie Childs' as I read this sentence. Best laugh so far today

Note: For 'Seinfeld' fans only

This software has been great for my wife. It's easy for her, she plugs in the camera, the software automagically downloads the pictures, she then selects the ones she wants to email. That's pretty much all she needs it for. I'm sure there's better software but the price is right.

I'm thinking that was a while ago, not version 4. You download a small file, which then connect to the net and installs the app. I've installed it on at least three different machine with different cameras. This software could not be any easier to install or use.

This is still buggy software with lousy support. I'm on the third version and yes 4 is the best and started out great. Now for some unknown reason it will no longer do a one touch transfer. I've tried reinstalls, etc. I can still transfer photos but I have to do it manually. Great concept just poor execution. version 3 used a backweb application that always showed up in spybot, is that what was meant above by instusive? This doesn't seem to happen with version 4. Oh and yes, I have a Kodak LS443 with a dock.

RBC: does/did your LS443 crap out? this one had widespread problems with the lens extending and retracting (ERROR E5 or something), i sent mine in for service 2 years ago and it worked but it crapped out again on a FLorida vacation. but when i came back to NYC it works again. now i just use it as my "ebay" camera... no more Kodak for me. I now carry a Pentax Optio S4i

and had anyone used PICASA? i thought their program was pretty neat...

Did you install another device like a scanner? I noticed that it will say "No pictures found on device" because it is looking at a non-camera device. If you bring up the transfer option with device listings and select the camera it should work. I was going to e-mail Kodak's support (which actually asnswer quickly with a human response) and ask how to remove non-camera devices from the list because my all-in-one printer/scanner is on the list. I'm not really sure it's a bug in the software more than a "feature" of the OS.
