ebay: am I screwed?

I got a fairly expensive bit of used computing from ebay. Seller's a registered company with a 14-day, no questions asked, return policy.

After trying it, I found it to be a POS, but technically not DOA. So I asked for a return and the seller accepted. Shipped it fedex, and had it delivered.. but no signature.

So, I asked the seller for returning my $$... claims he didn't get the package and will not answer any more of my queries.

What do I do? I'm not a big ebay user and have never returned stuff on ebay before. Will ebay support my resolution? I have the delivery receipt, etc. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

File a case on Ebay and upload your tracking number. Let the system work for you.

If you have the receipt from Fedex showing they delivered it, then just file a dispute with paypal, with that evidence.

You had tracking? Paid with PayPal? File a claim. eBay's very anti-seller and will get you your money back.

file a dispute, paypal is famous for fucking over sellers.

If you have the receipt from Fedex showing they delivered it, then just file a dispute with paypal, with that evidence.

problem with that is.....I have had severtal expensive as in over $1000 items dropped off by fed ex at the wrong address....had I not been on the lookout I probably would not have those items.
But what you do is ask fed ex for the tracking records.....fed ex always keeps tracking records and they also say that it was delivered....so be very vigilant..

If you are the seller of an item on ebay, the answer is yes, you are always screwed.
If you are the buyer of an item on ebay, the answer is no, you are never screwed.

After reading it, I found it to need an update. Poster promised an update.

So, the poster was asked for an update, but in two months hasn't made one.

What do I do? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
