Great. Microsoft just denied the 10% cashback for the TV I purchased on Nov 30, referring T&C not met, while they approved tiny purchase (HDMI cable) from the same seller. I even have a confirmation from ebay/MS in my ebay message, Paypal checkout page and ebay checkout page, which I already sent to them.
What was the specific reason? :hmm: Was it a "buy it now" deal (not an auction)?
Just bought 2 Dell U2410 from clearance store
Looks like it's still at 8%.
I've got an item i'm interested in, but it's $400 & i'm a little paranoid to risk MS not paying.
Per last email from Microsoft:
"Thank you for working with us at Live Search cashback regarding your Ebay purchase claim. After further research we are unable to apply cashback savings for this Ebay purchase. In working with Ebay, we have determined that this purchase is not eligible for Live Search cashback savings.
Per the program terms, you will not earn cashback rewards on purchases where the store does not report the purchase to Microsoft. We have taken extra steps to confirm with Ebay that program terms have not been met. This entailed submitting your purchase information to Ebay for review which confirmed you will not earn cashback for this purchase."
So, not much reason provided. Yes, it was obviously Buy-It-Now, and again, I already received usual "You're eligible for eBay cashback" message in my eBay message as well as a payment/checkout page receipt showing cashback amount. I've provided all those proofs and they still denied.
It's funny that they approved mere $ 0.80 cashback for HDMI cable I purchased from the same seller on the same day (about 30 min apart) using the same eBay account, the same Paypal account, the same cashback % and the same Live account, but denied $ 78.90 cashback. Yeah, it's just 79 bucks, but I am very disappointed enough not to buy anything costs more than $ 100 using Bing cashback.
I now know the risk that they will just deny for no reason.
Did you make sure to close out of all your windows and click back through Bing.com? You can only use the discount once per "click." So if you just went back into e-bay without resetting it, that might be why it was never reported...
Search for the item itself in Bing, then click on the "cashback" link. If there's more than one vendor selling it, it will show you all of the vendors AND the exact cashback for that item. If there's only one vendor, the cashback % next to the link is what you'll get, and the link will take you directly to that vendor's store.Does anyone know if there's a way to find out the percentage cashback on a particular item before you buy it at stores that are listed as a range (e.g., 3-10%)?
