I have no idea. You'll probably want to look it up.

I would agree with you somewhat, but im not exactly applying for the job of my life. All im doing is getting my point across, not making a resume (and seeing as how long it took you to come up with any reply, I can see what you do).

You're just making the point that you are an ass

While it may be true that having a bunch of negatives doesnt entirely DESTROY your account, it certainly will cut major profits[/b]

OP has limited feedback history. One bad mark taking him off 100% makes much more of an impact on him than one neg. on the seller who already has <100% . For him to take the direct cost for indirect & marginal benefits to thousands of ebay members is illogical.

And like the OP said, the seller wasn't terrible, just a slow shipper, which in my book doesn't qualify for a neg esp. if shipping timetables weren't listed in the ad.

Following your own logic, you being an ass probably cuts more into your profits than if you didn't go out of your way to be an ass.

for OP, if you only buy things on Ebay, feedback won't matter one bit. You can still bid and buy at the last second or at the beginning. And as long as you maintain a positive feedback, you won't be booted off. Feedback is overrated. You are buying things ... who cares if you have one bad negative. Sellers won't care as long as you reply in a calm manner. Give your seller a honest negative of what happened.

Now if you are both a seller and a buyer, you should split your account to a buyer and seller account to avoid things like this. Buyers will look at the seller's feedback so it is important that you maintain feedback on the seller account. The buyer account. Who cares - give the negative at day 90 and move on.

300 feedbacks, 98% positives is not good, imho. I would have been leery from the get go.

but i agree with the above posters... wait until last minute and neg him.

Just leave a comment on his feedback explaining what happened. Go to the "feedback forum" and click "reply to recieved feedback"

i wonder how many people really keep track of time,
with the feedback thing,
I personally just give a rough timing to leave feedback

so, if u are really afraid of retaliation,
do like what fellow ATOTers have suggested.
