So i sold something and send the invoice to buyer but it's coming up to almost 48 hours after the sale and no payment.

Should i send him another invoice or wait a little longer.

I been carrying the shipping box and tape and scissors in my car so i can packed up and ship it. I didnt close it yet because i usually put the invoice receipt inside.

if it is during the work week, i would say 48 hours is enough time for the buyer to respond. i'd move on. they know they won the item, they could have responded. if over the weekend, i'd give them another day.

Same thing happened to me a month or so ago and I posted almost the same question in this forum. Hey, I'll link the thread:

Ebay selling question

The buyer didn't answer my invoice or pay. I sent a second invoice after about 3 days and again, nothing happened. I did research and came up with his address and phone number. I called and it turned out to be a fax number. Did more research and came up with a number and it didn't work - no longer in service. After 7 days I filed a non-paying buyer claim at eBay, and evidently that got this guy's attention and he paid.

I think what happened is that this guy lost track of things. He had won around 20 items over 30 days, he obviously had very bad English (Spanish speaking), and he undoubtedly had very weak computer skills. His inbox was probably stuffed with messages having to do with eBay and he didn't realize he had an unpaid item. After this was all over I decided to cut him slack and gave him positive feedback, regardless. He paid, so WTH. YMMV.

I agree with this policy. Spell out what is expected of the buyer when placing the auction. This way, there should be no confusion between the two parties. If the buyer does not act as they are supposed to....move on.

And what do you mean by that? Ebay rules are that you can't file a non-paying buyer dispute for 7 days. You can state what you expect from your buyer, but I don't believe that's binding. I say don't get all bent about it. Is it an expensive item? Do you have reason to suspect something other than the fact that the buyer hasn't responded? Have you done any research on the buyer? You can see what other auctions the buyer has won lately. You can also ascertain the buyer's phone number and call them.

Well i contacted the guy and have not heard anything from him. I told him if he needs more time thats cool but if not interested to let me know.

The buyer seems good he has 98.8 % and 177 feedbacks. maybe that's why he bought to many items or something at the same time.

Edit: also what i sold was my old cell phone from AT&T wireless and the buyer seems to be only buying cell phones, his last 5 transactions are the same model phone, he even already paid two people after me.

Sounds to me like a classic case of a guy with so many irons in the fire he can't keep track of them all. Be patient with him. Send him another invoice with something in the subject line designed to grab his attention. That can be tough especially if he's getting much spam, but be creative. If worst comes to worst, come Wednesday (that's the day it ended?) file your NPB at eBay and he'll probably come through then. Don't waste a lot of time and energy fretting over this, it's not worth it, believe me. If he never comes through you will get your posting fee back from eBay and you can make a 2nd chance offer to one of the other bidders or repost, your choice.

I got a response from the buyer. He stated that his payment is pending, that's all it says but i havent got any message from paypal, i do have this hourglass icon on ebay. He stated that he is working on the problem on why it's pending and not going through.

All good advice. The bold part is when I usually let the dogs loose. I will get buyer's info and call if I haven't heard anything in a week. Usually getting their info will rattle a response from them.
