Alright, I've been a victim of an EBay scam . . .. The item was a camera, which I won the auction for ~$3, and after I sent the payment, all comunications break down and the item in question is not sent - plus the seller, with 0 feedback, is "no longer a registered user" . . ..

Yes, I should not have dealt with someone with 0 feedback, yes, I should've been more cautious about buying things online, but it's only ~$3, and the thing I'm more pissed is the principle of the deal - :|:|:|

Any ideas/ help offered? I'm a college student stuck in Illinois, so no, I can't drive down there. Gah!

talk about hypersensitivity. just be glad about the small loss of money, learn from your mistakes, and hold your head up high and keep walking, instead of crawling into a public forum on your hands and knees whining about it.

just a piece of advice, best to follow it. makes you look like a respectable human being.

Frankly, I could care less about the money, as it is $3, but I'm more pissed about the principle here, man! I had sent the payment first on good faith, and this person gets away with stealing my money (regardles of amount) . . . :| Not cool.

And I'm wondering what options are open to me at this point. I could live with forgetting about it, but it'd be nice to . . . well, I'm open to suggestions . . .:evil:

its an AOL address, that means its practically free-mail and they'd change it in an instant.

u can tell ebay's lying when they say their fraud rates are only .02% (that is .02 of 1%). but most fraud of small amounts such as yours goes unreported, and that .02% is usually high-end stuff such as plamas and laptops...

i reported them to safe harbor 4 days ago but they won't do anything. any moron who is dumb enuff to fall for the above auctions probably doesn't deserve to have money, but u'll never lose betting against the stupidity of humans. and furthermore that seller is essentially stealing from kids who have little common sense
(note the 2-3 month delivery time frame is well beyond paypal's 30 day protection guarantee)

Looks loke he's selling something he doesn't have yet. What will he do if his bid is rejected?


I have put in a bid on 100 of these refurbished units. But it will take some time to make this deal happen. This incredibly low price has got to be worth waiting for right?!? It could take up to three months for you to receive your PS2 game system. That's not such a long time when you consider the incredible deal you are getting on an awesome game system!! Get them while I have them . . . when these are gone I may never come across another deal like this again!!!
