While I don't agree with the ebay sellers practice, I don't think putting "This is for a PICTURE ONLY" in the description and then having someone actually buy it is "scamming." Mean and immoral, yes. I remember when the PS3 had just launched and people were selling domain names and explicitly stating they were a domain name. That isn't scamming.

The hell its not, it is the def of a con.
Her ad listed specifications of weight, style, battery life, headphone jack, etc etc etc. What piece of paper do you know of has batteries and headphone jacks?
Then trying to just insert "for picture only" is a BS and clearly devious move to try and create a scam. You absolutely cannot list an item as one thing, and sell it as another. Even in ignorance. I saw an "antique" dealer on ebay get sued for this on JJ. He listed an item as being an antique, turned out it was a philipino replica, and the buyer was pissed. The seller didn't so his research, sold it thinking it was something else, but too Fing bad, its the sellers responsibility to make sure their ads are accurate.
Bitch is a dirty thief. A fat stupid ugly one at that. I hope the IRS does get called on her.

You want to try to take Judge Judy to court for verbal assault? The woman knew EXACTLY how this was going to go down, she just wanted to be on TV.

If the person hadn't listed the specs, it would be perfectly legal, me thinks. Like you said, what piece of paper has a battery life. THAT's what did her in.
Yeah, what she was trying to pull was so rediculous and devious. I think tho she'd still be in trouble if it was a sparse desc in an add titled "cell phone i815, yada yada" in a listing section for phones, and didn't have it clearly detailed, such as, say, '8x10, glossy print, etc" to clearly indicate what the item was. Esp if you are charging (or allowing bidding & recieving) a price so far above its reasonable market value. [ IE, I sell a model car on Ebay auto simply listed as "ford mustang, blue, new" and even if some fool bought it for $10K, they could still come after me, as the sell is devious. I didn't outright lie, but lied by omission. Her $hit was over the top.
Oh, by the way, with those Judge shows all the winnings/losings are paid by the show and NO money is actually lost or won by the plaintiff or defendants.
