I have three of the JNC H7650 cases, all were shipped via Airborne from Ebuyer. I had an incident involving a broken bezel with my first order and they RMA'd be a replacement within 3 days-very friendly & prompt CS staff there, I must say. These cases are nothing at all to get excited about but they are about on par with the cheap Foxconns at Newegg or some of the cheaper CompGeeks cases. I have two PIIIs (one a 700@933 and another non-overclocked 1ghz) in these cases and they are fine for general home users-no PS problems yet and airflow seems adequate in the case. Do note that the side panels are *very* flimsy and wobbly. The third case is running a Duron 800 for a college student who likes the case's light weight and handle so he can carry it home during vacations.
Did they just send a replacement bezel or did you have to send the other bezel back to them? I'm still working on a replacement panel. If I can get a replacement panel, I'll be relatively happy. Well.. That is if my power supply doesn't go pop like FordLowrider's.

It even had a slide out motherboard tray.

Mine worked for a few days and then the exact same thing you describe happened. I'll probably salvage the fan. Fortunately it didn't hurt the rest of the computer. I think I'll stick to trolling through Newegg refurbs for good case/power supply deals.

I plan to get this case. anyone has this one? how many fan I can put in this system?
It's probably the best looking cheap case that they have IMO. I almost bought it, but I didn't have a drive that would match it, so I bought different cases.

Tough call.. These cases are cheap! I mean cheap! My Antec 300w psu probably weighs more than the case and power supply put together. I don't know how they can get any power out of the power supply with it being so light.

The back panel flexes like crazy and the pci card covers are knock outs with no way to replace them once you knock them out. Same goes for the I/O plate. It's a pop out and will leave a hole once it's removed. That's not that bad though because you'll always have an I/O plate back there, but if you knock out the card slots and then remove the card, you'll have a hole with no way to plug it. At least with some cases, they give you pci card plates to cover the knock outs once they are punched out, but not in this case.

They also don't give you any kind of hardware. I think I got 2 motherboard standoffs when I needed 7. I had to use some that I had leftover from other builds.

The only good thing is that this case was $25 last week and it's $20 now. If you do buy it, just buy one case though and check it out first. This case is good enough looking that you can use a different power supply if this one takes a crap on you and $20 is not much to spend..

Bottom line is that you pretty much get what you pay for. If you find a case for $40, you'll probably get twice the case quality wise. I had a Foxconn Supercase and it was much sturdier with a much sturdier power supply. It retailed for $40 and I got it for $30. I think it was worth double the money. This JNC looks a little nicer, but that's about it.

Hope this helps..

Salvador;

They RMA'd me a new case, no questions asked. Their CS guy siad it was just cheaper for them to do that and they weren't set up to send replacement bezels etc. So the new case arrived and I pulled the PS from the broken one & junked it the rest of the case-I guess I shoulda keptt the side panels just in case, huh? I figured it might be a good idea to have a POS replacement power supply laying around in case one of the other POS power supplies went out. Knock on wood, all of them are running smoothly since I purchased them (Late Sept or so?)

I think as long as your're running a non-OC'd system with a single optical drive and a single HD (actually all of my systems in these cases/PSs are running a CDROM & a CDRW dual drive setup) you'll be ok. Like you've already said, you get what you pay for but I really cannot complain, especially if it's a machine being built for someone else who values aesthetics more than anything else. Also, pretty decent airflow.

Salvador,

What brand of case did you get? Is it a Kingcase or JNC? I have rec'd 2 different JNC cases from them recently and they have both been decent quality and design. Both were under $25 shipped. I have an NF2 system slightly overclocked w/ 1 optical and 1 hdd in one JNC. Ebuyer's service was fast, and I would order another one again.....thinking about it soon actually.

If your problems are with the Kingcase then I will definately stay away from them for sure. The JNC's have been well worth the money so far though.

JNC 4JA8626(A) Midi Tower Case ATX 300w with Front USB/1394/Audio Ports

I was looking at this one also. It seems to be the best looking JNC with front USB.
PIC

I also have one of THESE and one of THESE...I like the looks of the first one better, but it doesn't have front USB.

you have to do some dremel work on these if you really want the case fans to do any good. the JNC's i got have louvered grills on the back panel which really hinder the air flow. on the case with the handle on top, it has a fan mount up there too, which works great after the same dremel work.

The Kingcase is actually better than the JNC. The package is more complete unless I got a return with the JNC case and some of the parts were missing. I didn't hardly get any hardware (3 mobo offset screws). I didn't get any replacement blanks for the PCI slots on the back of the case. This was also the case that came with the paint chipped on the left side panel.

Sorry.. I don't feel like tracking down the model numbers. The JNC was just about the only beige case. The Kingcase was a small silver case. Actually, it had very little silver with a lot of ugly beige/gold on it. Picture looked MUCH better than case does in person.

Now why is Ebuyer being a bunch of aholes with me? It's like pulling teeth to get them to do anything. I guess I need to talk to the "right" person.

The 2 JNC cases I got had a bag of screws & power cord, nothing else. There were only about 3 screw in metal stand-offs and about 5 plastic push-in stand-offs. I had to use a couple of my spare ones to make up the difference. You're right, there's no spare blank pci slot covers, but I have tons of those anyway. I still think it's well worth $20 shipped.

Like I said, they need some dremel work around the rear fan holes to make for better air flow....but other than that I'm very pleased.

If I had a PSU "pop" on me I would think twice about ordering another one though.

Salvador,
When you call customer service ask for Charity, seriously that's her name.

She was very helpful with me when I had my issue and even called me back and sent an email. Pretty amazing for a internet company.

Good Luck,
Pigseye

What do you guys think of these Coolmaster colling heatsink/fans Ebuyer have for Athlon XP CPU's? Thery're around $8. I plan to get a XP2500, no overclocking. Will this be adequate, or should I look for another cooler. Also does anyone have a recommendation for a video card < $50? I just want decent graphics performance, hi res, with hi refresh (80HZ). Does not have to be a gamer perf. type card, but if someone were to play Half-life TFC occasionally, maybe decent for that?

thanks

The cases that I bought were the Kingcase brand, FYI... I think they are well worth the $20.

this is what you want for a good, quiet & effective heatsink. i order these all the time and they do a great job.

for the vid card you might be happy with a gf4 mx440 or something similar.

I bought the Kingcase and most def not worth the effort of trying to diagnose my problems.

I just had my PSU run my motherboard once , and then it powered off on its own. Afterwards it couldn't power up the motherboard again.

It seems like it still provides my mobo with power (lights the LED) , but something must have happened, maybe the same way it popped with the others because when i tested a dell power supply my mobo was just fine.

For all those who had their power supply pop, did you take any action with Ebuyer? I wondering if there's any point trying to just RMA the power supply, and see if they will replace it.

maybe the maxima brand PSU just can't cut it and i'll be peeved if i wait for the return and the same thing happens.

what does anyone recommend i do?

I got some cheap Coolermaster heatsink/fans at Ebuyer last month. The fans are quiet and move pretty good air. The heatsink was OK, but the clip on the heatsink was terrible. They were extremely hard to put on a variety of motherboards. It would be very easy to break the plastic brackets off the CPU mount, which would be bad news.
