ECC/REG DDR RAM ????????

Got a server up and running w/ some ECC/REG RAM and was wondering
which BIOS setting for the RAM would be best....... if it even matters?
The mainboard is a MSI K7D-Master(Dual 1.6 Durons).

1. Disabled
2. Check only
3. Correct errors
4. Correct+Scrub

Any info would be swell

you definately want to set it to correct errors or it is worthless to put in the ecc at all... i'm not sure what scrub means so i can't comment on that...
note error checking reduces performance a little but it seems as though you are after stability anyways...

Memory scrubbing is an active and constant process going on all the time whereby ECC code is constantly used to read through memory and detect errors. If an errror is found, the data is corrected, then written back. Memory scrubbing's job is to find errors in memory ahead of time, and then correct it. If you didn't, it's possible that memory errors could build up after a while. If you get two errors in the same memory block, I don't even think it's correctable anymore. Basically, it's like a constant cleaning process, or preventative maintenance for memory integrity.

It's a totally transparent process to the end user, and it usually doesn't make memory bandwidth take a hit. Your choice on whether to turn it on or not. (For mission critical servers, I would.)
